Conservation and Restoration

We have been awarded the British Gypsum 2010 Plastering Solutions Trophy for the full restoration and decoration with enrichments and heraldic artwork, which was carried out through much of 2009 of an historical canvas barrelled ceiling in Ashton Hall, Lancaster, which is included in the gallery.

We now take our national award to Amsterdam in the Saint Gobain international gala awards fore-fronting Britain in the most prestigious award in this field.

As specialist plasterers with vast experience in lime mortars, fibrous plaster and shaped and profiled ceilings for over four generations. We are well placed with in this field for Conservation repairs of aged or damaged fibrous plaster works which are carried out nationwide with Government Departments and Local Authorities amongst our clients list.

Our director Stuart Melville is currently competent technical person for Lancaster City Council On Public Buildings Of An Historical Nature, meaning we can confidently liase closely on conservation issues where required. 

Fee basis inspections are carried out of ceilings and walls to auditoria and banquet suits for local authorities and reports produced on the conditions for licence purposes.
